VOLUNTEER
Volunteering at SSPF
Our volunteers are essential in helping us execute unique events and projects. More than 50 active volunteers collectively contribute over 1,000 hours of service to the Tahoe State Parks via the Sierra State Parks Foundation every year. When you volunteer 50 hours or more within the year, you will receive a regional park pass for the following year!
Volunteer Opportunities
Because the Lake Tahoe-Donner region receives an increasing number of visitors each year, our parks need support from a dedicated team of volunteers now more than ever! Year-round volunteer opportunities include:
Setting up for our one-of-a-kind special events that connect visitors to our parks in meaningful ways,
Front desk support at Donner Memorial State Park, Sugar Pine Point State Park, and Vikingsholm Visitor Centers to welcome and inform visitors,
Tour docent at the Hellman-Ehrman Estate and Vikingsholm Castle to spread awareness and education,
Volunteer Garden Club at the Hellman-Ehrman Estate to preserve the historic garden,
Clean up days at Kings Beach State Recreation Area and at Donner Memorial State Park to protect the environment,
Administrative Assistance at the SSPF office to support our staff.
